Romina Ideses

Senior Product Designer @ Dialpad

DESIGNER & BUILDER

With over 10 years bridging craft, strategy, and impact β€” I design products that move fast and feel right.

I'm currently designing at Dialpad β€” where I've spent the last 4 years shaping how people communicate β€” across iOS, Android, and desktop β€” for an AI-powered platform based in San Francisco. Before that, Senior Product Designer at PedidosYa and Despegar, two of Latin America's biggest consumer platforms, where I contributed to large-scale rebrands reaching miles of users.

  • I own features end-to-end. I'm the designer who sits in engineering syncs, writes specs, and stays until it ships right. I bring a strategy lens β€” not just polished screens, but decisions that hold up under pressure and scale.
  • With the rise of AI, I've been exploring how it changes the way we work: building functional prototypes directly from our design system, shipping faster, and collapsing the gap between concept and production. Tools like Claude Code are part of that β€” designers don't just hand off anymore. We build together.
  • Currently finishing a Master's in Business & Technology at Universidad de San AndrΓ©s β€” because good design at scale needs more than craft. It needs systems thinking, leadership, and a seat at the strategic table.

About me

With over 10 years bridging craft, strategy, and impact β€” I design products that move fast and feel right.

My path started in Graphic Design and grew into digital product design. For the last 4 years at Dialpad, I've shaped communication experiences across mobile and desktop, working hand-in-hand with engineering and product to accelerate velocity and AI-powered workflows.

I'm a global collaborator by nature β€” born in Latin America, working across cultures and disciplines, guided by curiosity, collaboration, and a bias for action.

Beyond shipping product, I'm passionate about growing designers and helping teams lead with clarity. Currently pursuing a Master's in Business & Technology (MBT) at the University of San AndrΓ©s β€” investing in the strategic and leadership layer for my next chapter.

Lately:

  • Going deep on Claude Code, GitHub flows, branches, commits, and release processes β€” the tools are powerful and I'm not afraid of them
  • I lift heavy 3–4x a week and aim for 8–10K steps a day β€” started with zero technique, now hitting progressive overload and seeing real results
  • When you have a vision, a direction, and a plan, the results come. That applies to everything.
